VISUAL NOTATION
Objective: To design an interactive museum kiosk based on the concept of fluidity, part of the holistic theme of a universally designed kitchen. A creative solution was derived through choices concerning idea communication, function, and aesthetics.

This individual kiosk was a component of five displays within the museum, exemplifying unity amongst exhibits through design elements and principles. Deliverables to be presented via graphically communicated ideas on trace paper are inclusive of successful principles of museum design, adult/child sightline parameters, ADA accessibility guidelines, and instructions for use within the interactive design kiosk.
The holistic concept for the National Building Museum's 'Kitchens: Beyond the Ordinary' Exhibit highlights characteristics associated with fluidity. The idea of fluidity intends to convey movement within the space and is representational through curvilinear line, exemplified by the varying wall shape and floor selections for each individual showroom.

Radial balance and organic form are captured through the organization of the space plan. Both of these elements, along with curvilinear line, aim to induce a calm yet intriguing space, succeeding in accentuating the approach of fluidity.
